I laugh even now when I look at the video and it comes to that part. Susan made a lot of money for BGT also. She has her career but it didn't come without a price. The media did quite a job on her during the BGT competition.

He could see that Susan Boyle could make loads of money for him - you know that whole 'story' they had with her: they exploited her. I mean - remember how much publicity this gained? And I have listened to Susan's voice in something other than Britain's Got Talent. Like I said before she is a good singer.

@DistantDreamer93 This may not be her first audition since she had to be approved before getting this far but that doesn't mean her voice had to be enhanced. Susan has been in many competitions before this auditon and her voice is fantastic. Perhaps you should try listening to them before deciding her voice had to be enhanced. Also whatever happened in post production doesn't explain what was going on with the audience's reaction to her, she obviously made good her promise to rock them.

Shows like this exploit people to make money. What you're seeing here isn't Susan's actual first audition. Do you really think that the judges see every single person? No, Simon Cowell already knew what was coming when Susan stepped onto that stage - they set it up: a classic 'rags to riches' story...

@Soi6Fan Yeah because they are a dance group, it's hard to see them perform unless you live in the UK. But they definitely have been kept busy with their sold-out tour, their own TV show, interviews, commercials, etc. They may not have as much emotion as Susan Boyle, but they do have a lot more creativity and are able to bring something new to each performance. Whether Susan won BGT or not, you would still be able to buy her CD and listen to her while driving.

She didn't need a makeover to have a beautiful voice, but she did need need a makeover to not be unattractive. If she had simply been looked plain I doubt it would have drawn any comment, however her appearance drew attention to itself. Appearance has nothing to do with her skill as a singer, but a singer's role in society is as an entertainer and a makeover makes her more then a caricature, a backflipping dog, and become someone who can be valued for her talent rather then her oddity.
