I don't think the Native Americans are simply blaming others. When a nation has suffered at anyone's hands, often they just want an apology or acknowlegement of the harm that has been done, justice etc. They want people to learn from history, to see the truth, and they don't want it repeated. They also address the issue of sterotypes showing their people as less than human when they are just as human as anyone. I think this is reasonable.

I just saw this movie for the 1st time yesterday and it is inspiring. They have been around for 30 years and they still haven't made it. They came close but I believe they were just a little ahead of their time. Helix another Canadian band that hasn't quite made it over the hump to stardom and they've been around since '74. It is great to see Anvil getting another go round as they are currently touring North America then will be doing dates in Australia and Japan.

I was 14 when he did this. I remember seeing him on the news being hauled away in handcuffs. I just watched the movie and it was absolutely amazing. Especially in light of the fact that the towers are now gone. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to see them and go up to the observation deck before 9/11. I believe his experience must have been akin to landing on the moon.

My father dances in a traditional sundance that we have every year down here in Colorado, and from what i see in the video it is close, but it fails to mention the three and a half to four days they go without food or water. and they also drag not two buffalo skulls but nine skulls. the hanging from the tree was correct-ish. and they do where the crowns and have the eagle bone whistles. and hopefully i will be able to dance in this sacred dance soon.

This movie hits the nail right on the head with these issues of steroids and all kinds of performance enhancers. It is nice to something that can actually give answers about these problems. Being a high school athlete this movie really helped put thing with steroids in perspective in a time where all these sorts of drugs are rampid. And it shows that now in an era where 75 percent of college and pro athletes are users that the use of steroids is a moral issue.

@Steve128967 Actually, Paco does have a VERY similar sounding song, called 'Rio Ancho' which sounds very much like Al's Live version of Mediterranean Sundance. I think it's originally a flamenco song, because it sounds like a typical flamenco chord progression. Al probably just used it for his purposes, just like people use blues progressions to create a new song.

I agree with what's said, this is the best recorded live guitar in history. What I think really makes it sparkle is that fact that it seems to me, imo, that Al DiMeola is desperately trying to keep up with Paco rhythmically, knows he can't, and ends up throwing the buzzsaw right hand like no one's ever done. Either way, it seems like Paco is in charge here. Listen to the intro lick to both of their first solos, and tell me Paco's doesn't somehow fit better.

@akmwahiduzzaman You are correct, it was Paul. I read that the "stuntman" they brought in had never ridden a bicycle and had no idea what to do. George Roy Hill became so angry that Paul had to intervene and told him to let him have a try. It worked out pretty good I think. This is one of the best films of all time. Danke.
