mililaniguy, I think that people on surfline were put off by the vid because of the burning of the ASP rule book. Many people who frequent surfline are industry folk. The ASP, directly or indirectly, is their bread and butter. Also, the shot of him on a red bull jet ski with a red bull surfboard strapped to it while he's proudly drinking a red bull sends a collective shudder through the surfing underground. I think it's pretty ugly. He surfs incredible, one of the best ever.

So of course you are not going to see explicit curses. But Job curses his own life, impugns God's sense of justice, and parodies the psalms. That's about as close to cursing God as you were going to get in the Hebrew Bible. There's no other reason for ch. 38 without some sort of curse.

@Astrapsody Of course, Job wouldn't have cursed God before the destruction, but after. Read John Wilcox's book on the subject. Of course, Job doesn't say "God, I hereby curse you." That would be ridiculous. You have to read it the way you would any piece of literature where things are happening that aren't stated explicitly. We are talking about at time when you could say things like "curse God" so you had to say "bless God," when you really meant "curse God." (cont).

@bshantonu I've read Job, and I've marked it up a bunch. It was actually one of the books of the Bible my English teacher mentioned wanting to read to us, but didn't have the time. Prior to the total destruction of his children, wife, house, livestock, and body, Job had not cursed God AT ALL. God explicitly says this to Satan. I don't want to have to go pull the Bible out just to give you the verse, but I might have to. I encourage you to look at it a bit more.

It only makes narrative sense if Job *did something* to provoke God actually appearing and straightening things out. What did Job do? He cursed God. He curses God right there in chapter 3 and doesn't let up until chapter 40 or so. Don't let the comic book version of the story fool you. Read it for what it really says. Read Job chapter 3 with that in mind.

@Astrapsody You're very wrong. There is a lot to interpret. You actually have to read the Book of Job however and you cannot allow your cultural biases to blind you. Most people think Job is pretty much like this: There's a good, rich guy: Job. God and Satan make a bet. Satan makes bad things happen to Job. Job never curses God. God wins the bet. God makes the bad things go away. That is NOT what happens in the Book of Job. Not at all. Read Job chapter 38 and ask yourself what is going on.

Job comes as close to cursing God as you could come in the Hebrew bible. The author of the Book clearly intended us to understand that Job *did* curse God. @Kracg999 You aren't reading the Bible correctly, at least not the Book of Job anyway. Read Job's arguments carefully again. You'll see some interesting things. Ask yourself seriously, does God win the bet? [Hint: he doesn't, Job does curse God]. You might be well served by reading Stephen Mitchell's translation of the Book of Job. Job is so radial that it's pretty clear that later scribes tried to edit out the dangerous stuff. Read it again without the blinders on and you will see.

I was a Mormon when I was a kid, but I never understood the writings in either the BoM or the Bible. When I was finally able to sit down and read them, I was disgusted. @em3rica89 13 seconds is not a slow quarter for a stock vehicle. Yes, that's slow for a modded ride, but very few stock vehicles run 13's and if a stock car runs 13's, it's easy as shit to get it into the 11's. All my Mustang has is a blower, and it now runs 11's. It's faster than a stock GT500. Anyway, this whole argument was about the comment "Infinities aren't fast" when in fact the G37 runs 13's stock and will run 11's with a turbo kit.

My car did a 13.736 @108.02 mph stock I'm looking at the time slip and yes it was slow..... back then my newest one is a 11.562 @ 128.58 mph.
